ChatterBox, is a fabulous way to get LGBTQ and allied youth voices out and amplified in the great, wide blogosphere. Maybe you have something to say today, maybe you will have something to sound off on tomorrow or two months from now. ChatterBox is a new way to have youth represented on NYAC's blog.
We will be accepting blog submissions from young people, ages 13-24, on a range of issues - personal experiences, opinions on politics, activist stances, calls to action!
It's easy. and empowering. and fun.
This application tells us a little more about you so that we can talk about you when we post your blog. This step will also ensure that you are signed up for the NYAC Chatterbox email list and leads you to Step 2.
Step 2 - Read the updates
Every two weeks you will receive an email from the NYAC team updating you on news stories and/or topics that you might be interested in chattering about. We want to hear your opinions ranging from the most recent gay character on Ugly Betty to your ideas on Hate Crime legislation.
Once your piece is typed out and ready to make waves with the ChatterBox on NYAC's blog, go ahead and submit it to the NYAC team and send it on through the tubes!
Step 4 - Become part of the ChatterBox
Feel powerful, feel informed, feel like you are being heard! OK, so maybe it's fun to brag sometimes, and here is your chance! Every time that you post one of your blogs with NYAC, you develop your writing skills. Not to mention that you can add this to you resume or just send links to all your friends!
